Silicom BSE光纖旁路交換機
Silicom管理型旁路交換機專為10/1 Gigabit 乙太網路而設計。當內聯系統(Inline System)發生故障時,Silicom管理的旁路交換機的作用目的是保持網絡連接。管理型旁路交換機基於可靠的被動式開關迴路、控制管理介面和板載定時器控制器。
Silicom Managed Bypass交換機支持兩種操作模式:正常模式和旁路模式。在正常模式下,旁路交換機將網絡流量轉移到介接的內聯(inline)網絡系統。在旁路模式下,內聯流量轉向網絡鏈路,不再路由到內聯設備。不同於智慧型旁路交換機,管理型旁路交換機須由內聯設備主機以程式方式發出控制訊號,控制管理型旁路交換機在電源出現故障,鏈路故障或用戶要求時繞過其乙太網介面。
Silicom管理型旁路交換機包括板載看門狗定時器控制器(WDT,Watch Dog Timer)和被動開關迴路。板載WDT控制器可以通過序列管理埠、USB或其乙太網端口(所選型號)接收心跳“活動”(alive)封包。
Silicom管理型旁路交換機可以作為獨立單元(BSS)或機架式1U主機系統(BS1U)發貨。機架式1U主機系統最多支援四個旁路模組。每個旁路模組都支持旁路網段。1U主機系統中的旁路模組可以鏈接,用一個管理介面控制鏈接中所有模組動作,以便讓有限的主機管理介面能夠更有效率的運用。
桌上獨立型
Silicom管理型旁路交換機桌上獨立型包括四個10/1 Gigabit乙太網路數據介面。管理控制介面包括序列埠(RJ11)、USB和乙太網路介面(依所選型號不同)。桌上獨立型機箱包括外部+ 12V電源供應器。

1U機架式主機系統
1U主機系統,最多支援四個旁路交換機模組。 旁路交換機主機包括兩個內部雙備援110 - 220 V交流電源。
Silicom管理旁路交換機主機支援兩種類型的旁路交換模組,一個控制器(Controller -C)和一個附屬模組(Salve -S)。 控制器旁路交換機(-C)模組包括資料數據介面和管理介面。附屬模組僅包括資料數據介面。 控制器旁路模組(-C)和附屬旁路模塊可以鏈接1U主機系統。 模塊鏈設計為支援需要多重旁路段配置,而卻僅有有限管理介面的系統。
