A Network Packet Broker (NPB) works alongside cybersecurity and network analytics platforms, delivering out-of-band visibility that turns network data into real-time intelligence. Traffic is collected from switch mirror ports, aggregated, and seamlessly distributed to the right analysis tools — ensuring complete and accurate data delivery. Some NPBs offer traffic distribution capabilities with built-in Active Inline Bypass, allowing them to dynamically manage live network links. This enables a single source of mirrored traffic from a switch to be intelligently routed through multiple inline security tools. After the traffic passes through each inline device, the NPB efficiently aggregates and returns it to the destination switch — reducing the workload on security tools and enhancing overall analysis performance.
Our Network Packet Brokers deliver advanced visibility and control across complex network environments.
1. Flexible Traffic Distribution—Aggregate and replicate traffic from multiple sources to multiple destinations (many-to-one, one-to-many, or many-to-many).
2. Load Balancing
3. Layer 2–4 Filtering
4. Header Stripping, including VLAN、MPLS、GRE、VxLAN
5. Tool Service Chain—Streamline multiple inline security tools for enhanced protection and operational efficiency.
6. Active Inline Bypass
7. Heartbeat Monitoring — Continuously check the health status of inline tools to ensure uninterrupted visibility.
8. MAC Replacement
9. L2/L3 GRE Tunneling
10. Packet Slicing

Three-Tier Architecture for Intelligent Packet Processing:
Capturing raw traffic at the source through switch mirrors and network TAPs.
【Tier 2: Aggregate and Filter Traffic】
High-density interfaces link seamlessly with switch ports and TAPs, applying intelligent L2–L4 traffic filters to deliver only what matters — precise, relevant, and actionable data.
【Tier 3: Advanced Packet Processing Layer】
Powered by advanced Packet Slicing and De-Duplication, intelligently minimizing traffic output while preserving complete visibility.
